2015: Big Summer Events in Park City

Heading to Park City this summer? Here are the big summer events that you won’t want to miss if you happen to be in town.

Big Stars, Bright Nights
Tuesday, June 30–Sunday, September 6

Big Stars, Bright Nights is a powerhouse concert series happening at Deer Valley Resort Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. This year you can catch big names like Smash Mouth, Taste of Treme, Gov’t Mule, and Grace Potter.

Park City Kimball Arts Festival
Friday–Sunday, July 31–August 2

The 46th annual Park City Kimball Arts Festival will feature happenings around town fit for all ages. You’ll find a sophisticated opening night gala, over 30 live music performances on 3 different stages throughout the weekend, a wide variety of food vendors, a public yoga fest, a kids area with countless fun-filled activities, and so much more. For many, the highlight of the Kimball Arts Festival is Festival After Dark, which occurs after festival hours. Festival After Dark offers a free Sundance film screening, more live music, dancing, and other live entertainment.

Oakley Rodeo & Fourth of July Celebration
Wednesday July 1–Saturday, 4

Less than a 30-minute drive from Park City, the Oakley Rodeo is a summer-long event that culminates in a four-day celebration centered around the Fourth of July. Guests can enjoy the rodeo for four days straight and watch fireworks every day after the rodeo.

4th of July Parade and Celebration
Saturday, July 4

Visitors to Park City over the Independence Day weekend can enjoy a parade running down Main Street, a 5k run, pancake breakfast, live music, rugby games, beer gardens, and, of course, fireworks at Park City Mountain Resort at dusk.

Deer Valley Music Festival
Saturday, July 4–Friday, August 14

The Deer Valley Music Festival is a collection of live music performances from the Utah Symphony, renowned jazz vocalists like Diana Krall, string quartets, country and Beatles cover bands, and more, happening throughout the summer.

Park City Food & Wine Classic
Thursday, July 9–Sunday, July 12

The Park City Food & Wine Classic is a can’t-miss event for anyone interested in mingling with master winemakers, culinary greats, and other distinguished guests. Visitors can enjoy unique, delicate flavors from over 100 food artisans, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and epicurean purveyors, at wine tastings, cooking demonstrations, seminars, and outdoor adventures.

Park City Marathon
Saturday, August 16

The Park City marathon and half marathon draws in runners near and far offers late summer scenery and cool mountain weather. It happens to be part of the “Triple Trail Challenge,” a 3-stage race that includes the Jupiter Peak Steeplechase in early August and the Mid-Mountain Marathon in mid-September.
